Congressman Brian Jack Welcomes Vice President JD Vance to Peachtree City, Champions President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut and Deregulation Efforts

August 21, 2025

Today, Congressman Brian Jack welcomed the Vice President of the United States JD Vance to Peachtree City to champion President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut and historic deregulation efforts at a local manufacturing facility.

Speaking before a crowd of over 500 people at ALTA Refrigeration, Vice President Vance said, “We want to make it easier to build in America, we want to make it harder to build overseas.  We want to make it easier to rely on our great American workers because we have a lot of them.  American businesses ought to employ American workers, and we want to make it harder to employ foreigners who take those jobs from Americans who deserve them.  And most importantly, if you’re working hard every single day right here in the United States, or if you’re building a business right here in the United States, you ought to have a tax code that rewards you instead of punishes you, and that’s what happened when we passed the Working Families Tax Cut just a couple of months ago.”

Congressman Jack said, “I am honored to welcome Vice President Vance, Administrator Zeldin, and Administrator Loeffler to my hometown of Peachtree City.  Today, we celebrated President Trump’s working families tax cuts and announced forthcoming relief for a job-killing Biden regulation that endangered 150 hardworking Georgians in our community.  Deregulation is a cornerstone of President Trump’s record-setting economic agenda, and our success in reversing costly regulations is creating jobs and unleashing prosperity across Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District.”

Earlier this year, Congressman Jack led the passage of a law that repealed a Biden Administration regulation on tankless water heaters that threatened a local company, and — because of that success — ALTA Refrigeration contacted Congressman Jack and requested his help navigating their own burdensome Biden regulation.

In 2023, the Biden Administration imposed onerous regulations on the refrigeration industry that endangered ALTA Refrigeration, a company in Peachtree City that employs 150 workers and builds cold storage warehouses.

ALTA President Eric Brown said, “This is a monumental moment for ALTA Refrigeration.  Congressman Jack, in my book, is a rock star!”

Accompanying Vice President Vance and Congressman Jack were two members of President Trump’s Cabinet: Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin, and Administrator of the Small Business Administration Kelly Loeffler.

Vice President Vance is the first Vice President to visit Fayette County in 33 years.  In 1992, Vice President Quayle traveled to Fayetteville to deliver remarks at Fayette County High School and visit Melear's Barbecue.
