Rep. Brian Jack helps lead repeal of Biden regulation banning tankless water heaters

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Brian Jack (R-Ga.) helped lead a bipartisan majority Feb. 27 to pass H.J. Res. 20, a joint resolution that repeals a regulation imposed during the Biden Administration that would ban non-condensing tankless water heaters manufactured in Griffin at Rinnai America Corporation’s manufacturing facility, which employs over 300 workers.

The bipartisan vote in the House of Representatives was 221-198. 210 Republicans and 11 Democrats voted for the legislation, introduced by Rep. Gary Palmer, (R-Ala.) and heavily promoted by Rep. Jack.

Palmer and Jack used the authority given to Congress under the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to repeal this regulation. The CRA enables Congress to disapprove of any rule or regulation announced by the Executive Branch within 60 legislative days. The Biden-Harris Administration imposed this regulation on Dec. 26, 2024.

Congressman Jack passes critical legislation

The bipartisan vote in the House of Representatives was 221-198. 210 Republicans and 11 Democrats voted for the legislation.
