Congressman Brian Jack and House Republicans Enact President Trump’s Signature Legislation: H.R. 1, The One Big Beautiful Bill Act

July 3, 2025

Today, Congressman Brian Jack and House Republicans enacted President Trump’s signature legislation: H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which delivers the largest Tax Cut in American history.

Congressman Jack serves on the House Rules Committee, which advanced this critical legislation after a 12-hour hearing.

“I am honored to cast our vote from Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District in support of President Trump’s signature campaign promise: The One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said Congressman Brian Jack.

“This legislation delivers the largest Tax Cut in American history, builds President Trump’s Border Wall, eliminates hundreds of billions of dollars of waste, fraud and abuse from bloated government programs, funds the Golden Dome Missile Defense System to protect our country, ends the Radical Left’s War on American Energy Production, and fulfills President Trump’s cornerstone campaign promises of No Taxes on Tips, No Taxes on Overtime, and Historic Tax Relief for our senior citizens.”

“Last November, over 77 million Americans voted for President Trump and Republican governance in Washington, D.C., and within the first six months of President Trump’s second term, we passed our agenda. The Golden Age for Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District and the United States of America is here!”

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act was enacted through a procedure known as budget reconciliation, which was established by the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 and requires simple majority votes from both chambers of Congress for passage, overriding the Senate’s filibuster rules.

Every President since President Jimmy Carter has enacted budget reconciliation bills into law.
