Congressman Brian Jack Welcomes U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to Carroll County to Promote Georgia Agriculture

CARROLL COUNTY, GA – Today, Congressman Brian Jack welcomed the United States Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to Carroll County.  Together, they toured NG Turf’s sod farm in Whitesburg, hosted a roundtable discussion with local agriculture leaders, and visited WLBB radio station for an interview with Steve Gradick.

Congressman Brian Jack said, “I am honored to welcome the United States Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to Carroll County.  Agriculture is Georgia’s #1 industry, and our Congressional District is a key producer of livestock, sod, and timber.  I am proud to champion our hardworking farmers in Congress, and I was honored to cast a YES vote in favor of the Farm Bill earlier this year.  Throughout this Congress, I have worked with our farmers to expand market access, secure necessary assistance, and put Georgia and American agriculture first.

“Before I was sworn into Congress, I pledged to bring America’s leaders to our communities to promote the incredible things happening across Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District.  I am honored to keep that promise, as today marks the 9th visit by a Member of President Trump’s Cabinet to our District during my first term.”

Secretary Brooke Rollins said, “I was so excited to visit Georgia for the fourth time since being sworn in as Secretary of Agriculture.  Visiting Whitesburg and seeing the multigenerational NG Turf farm, run by the McWhorter family, highlights the strong specialty crop industry thriving in Georgia’s 3rd District.  Congressman Jack is a true advocate for the farming and ranching community in Georgia and he has been such an advocate to advance rural America in the Capitol from passing the Working Families Tax Cut Act to voting for the first Farm Bill in over 6 years.  We will continue to fight for Georgians everyday in the Trump Administration.”

Secretary Rollins' trip to Carroll County marks the 9th visit by a Member of President Trump’s Cabinet to Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District during Congressman Jack’s first term.

August 21, 2025 – Congressman Jack welcomed Vice President JD Vance, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin, and Administrator of the Small Business Administration Kelly Loeffler to Peachtree City in Fayette County, where they promoted the passage and enactment of H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, at a local factory.

May 2, 2025 – Congressman Jack welcomed Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to Spalding County to celebrate the passage and enactment of legislation led by Congressman Jack that repealed a Biden-era regulation, saving hundreds of jobs at a local water heater manufacturing facility.

April 17, 2025 – Congressman Jack welcomed Administrator of the Small Business Administration Kelly Loeffler to Troup County, where they toured small businesses, hosted a roundtable discussion with local community leaders, and visited two restaurants.
