WASHINGTON, D.C.Congressman Brian Jack (GA-03) has secured a $1.9 million federal investment in Pike County through the federal government’s Community Development Fund to address local safety concerns and infrastructure improvements.

On February 3, 2026, President Trump signed into law H.R.7148 - Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026.  Through this legislation, Congressman Brian Jack worked with President Trump to deliver a $1.9 million investment in Pike County’s Parks & Recreation Authority.

The Pike County Government operates a recreation complex on Twin Oaks Road that provides the only organized sports facilities in the county, with football, baseball, softball, and soccer fields.

This complex was originally built over 50 years ago, and is in desperate need of electrical, lighting, grading, drainage, stormwater, and paving improvements.

Congressman Brian Jack said, “I am honored to deliver a $1.9 million federal investment from the Trump Administration in infrastructure and safety improvements at Pike County’s ball fields to support the next generation of athletes from our community.  Professional athletes like MLB’s Hunter Strickland and Tristin English began their careers in Pike County, and this investment will enable the next generation of athletes to flourish and proudly represent our community and Congressional District.  Pike County Commission Chairman Briar Johnson and community leaders Chad Proctor and John Hanson were instrumental in this success, and I am grateful for President Trump’s support of this project.”

Former Pike County Manager John Hanson said, “Pike County is grateful for all the incredible things Congressman Brian Jack has done for our community.  In just the past 18 months, Congressman Jack brought Jim Jordan to Concord, Housing Secretary Scott Turner to Zebulon, and President Donald J. Trump to Christ Chapel for the biggest political event in Pike County history.  And now, working with President Trump, Congressman Jack secured a much-needed $1.9 million federal investment in our community.  Brian Jack always delivers for Pike County, and we are very proud he is our Congressman!”

Community leader Chad Proctor said, “The $1.9 million investment Congressman Brian Jack secured from President Trump’s Administration is a major win for our community.  Almost everyone in Pike County has made memories at those ball fields, and this funding will allow future generations to safely enjoy the same opportunities we had.  Congressman Jack has been there for us, and we are there for him!”

“On behalf of Pike County Government, we are sincerely grateful to Congressman Brian Jack for securing this vital funding for Pike County Recreation,” said Pike County Commission Chairman Briar Johnson.  “This $1.9 million investment will allow us to modernize aging infrastructure and make key improvements to sidewalks, roads, and parking areas - enhancements that will ensure the safety of thousands of visitors to one of the largest draws in Pike County.”

Congressman Jack represents Georgia's 3rd Congressional District, which includes all of Pike County.  If Congressman Jack may be of service to you and your family, please visit jack.house.gov.
